Presidents Message:

Greetings and Welcome!!

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our webpage. My hope for the 100 Black Men of Bradley County Inc .,(100BMBC) is that we continue our efforts to improve the quality of the lives of young people in our community, while striving to enhance their educational opportunities.  We aim to be role models and mentors and to help steer them in the right direction.

As we are impacted by the effects of the economic crisis that is hitting us at the local, state and federal levels the challenges and the opportunities have never been greater.  The 100 BMBC Inc., through the continued generous contributions from you, our corporate sponsors are enabling us to continue providing much needed assistance in funding our programs that directly benefit the youth in our community.  There is a dire need for those of us in leadership roles within our community and across the nation to continue to assist in this important matter of providing much need financial support for our youth.   “Thank You” for leading the way and being such wonderful examples of charitable giving.
 
We truly appreciate how our corporate partners have stood by us this year.  Lee University continues to lend itself to our vision by hosting this event annually and through providing almost a dozen scholarships to students in our programs.  Cleveland State Community College has provided an office space for the 100 BMBC as well as the 2+2 Scholarship program , and the City of Cleveland continues to allow us to meet monthly at the Northeast Recreation Center without charge.

This year we offered our successful in school mentoring program for young men “Future CEO’s in Training” as a pilot program to the young women in grades 6-8 at Cleveland Middle School.  Our Health and Wellness Programs continue to provide citizens in our community with the opportunity to receive free health screening and general health education to improve the quality of their lives.

Our organization consists of Community Leaders, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Business Owners, Professionals, Laborers and Clergy.  It is wonderful that there is such diverse representation in one organization, which lends itself to synergy and creativity. You, our sponsors continue to renew my hopes that our goals will be met.
